You asked, we delivered! Slightly heavier material than the Matrix but still the high quality, breathable material and cut that you know. Material is soft on the skin. May be a dobok of choice for patterns and cooler climate.

  1. My favorite uniform 5 Star Review

    Being a martial artist since 1982, the Onyx and Matrix uniforms are by far my favorite. They are lightweight but i can still make them do the 'pop' noise when kicking or punching. They have thoughtful ventilation holes in the armpit area and an extra section of cloth stitched into the groin demonstrating that these were created by a martial artist for martial artists. I wear these daily and have never had any wardrobe malfunctions, rips, nor tears. These move comfortable with my body and don't stick to my skin when I sweat. My daily preference for instructing classes is the Matrix uniform, while I wear an Onyx for events and traveling. The Onyx is slightly heavier but looks shaper for testings, attending seminars, etc.

    I am 5'9" and wear a size 180. I only had to take a hem of about 1" from the bottons to ensure they fit perfectly and i'm not stepping on them. The top fits perfect.

    As a fan of the Matrix, I was curious to try the Onyx when it launched but didn't make the jump until I got to see it up close on a few participants at a recent IIC. While a bit heavier than the Matrix, it still has the cut that I love and lots of breathability with the mesh underarms. It also has a nice crisp feel that gives a nice snap when drilling out a kick in patterns.
    It will fit in nicely as a go to dobok for teaching (though for those hot days or really hard sparring training sessions I'd still chose the Matrix).
    Another great dobok from Mightyfist with the DNA of the Matrix but a little extra weight and thickness.

    The uniform fits great and is a little thicker than the Matrix uniform. Excellent for instructors and competition.
    Mighty Fist also has great customer service and is always helpful.
