Meet Ms. MORGAN PLOWDEN PEEPLES

Current rank:

Born & raised:

5th Dan

Detroit, Michigan

I started martial arts at 5 years old. Growing up, my father owned a martial arts school. I was at the karate school every day, and once I was old enough to participate, I asked if I could join the class. There was no looking back.

My most memorable martial arts moment is:

When I won my first World Championship at the 2010 WKC World Championships in Albufeira, Portugal.

Competitive Highlights:

I have won a litany of championships from renowned tournaments:

The Kumite Classic Champion
Diamond Nationals Champion
Battle of Atlanta Champion
AKA Warrior Cup Champion
WKC World Championships Champion

I currently balance several roles within the martial arts community. My primary focus remains teaching at my school, where I personally instruct my students and coach them through their tournament competitions. Additionally, I continue to travel and share my experience by teaching seminars.

What’s next?:

I will continue to manage my karate school and coach my dedicated students. Looking ahead, I am excited to lead a group of competitors to the 2026 WKC World Championships in Spain at the end of October 2026.

My experience working with Mightyfist:

My experience working with Mightyfist has been exceptionally positive. They are a highly professional company that consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to the sport through their quality and service!

Words of wisdom from Ms. Morgan Plowden Peeples:

The best advice I’ve received by an instructor/coach:

Knowing what I know now, what would I tell my younger self:

"Find your voice and use it. To speak up for yourself is the first step in claiming your own space in the world."

"Reflecting on the journey from where I stand today, the most profound truth I would share with my younger self is this: Every sacrifice, every moment of doubt, and every hard-earned lesson is worth it."
